Tarrytown Village Listening Session

Commit to showing up at your Village’s Board of Trustees meeting for a special session where Trustees will ask residents to speak briefly about our environmental priorities. Bring your own short list, or choose one or two from the below issues facing our community. Kids very welcome!
- Gas leaf blower ordinances (local)
- Complete streets priority projects for pedestrian & bike safety (local)
- Expansion of village food scrap recycling (such as residential compost pickup)
- Better Bottle Bill (NY State proposal)
- NY Heat Act (NY State proposal)
- Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act (NY State proposal)
- Climate-change vulnerabilities and threats in our Village
The Trustees will set aside 30 minutes at the top of the 4/21 meeting for Environmental issues. Up to 10 speakers will have 3 minutes each.
As you arrive, please let the Village Assistant Administrator, Alissa Fasman, know you’d like to speak, to make the event go smoothly. If more than 10 would like to speak, they can wait till the end of the meeting for items not listed on the agenda.
